How a winch out works

• Tell us where and how you're stuck

  Road name or nearest crossroad, which wheels are off the road, and whether the vehicle is still drivable. Photos by text help if you have them.

• We rig to the right points

  Our operators use proper recovery points and straps so bumpers, body panels and suspension come out intact.

• Controlled pull back to the road

  Steady winching rather than a yank, with traffic watched the whole time.

• Drive away or get towed

  If something broke while you were stuck, the same truck can tow you where you need to go.

Situations we pull out of weekly

• Slid off an icy county road into the ditch
• Buried in snow at the end of the driveway
• Sunk in spring mud on a two-track or field edge
• Dropped a wheel off a soft gravel shoulder
• High-centered on a snowbank or berm
• Stuck in sand or loose ground at the lake

Michigan winters keep us busy with ditch and snow recovery. If you're off the road, stay in the vehicle with your seatbelt on and hazards flashing until we arrive.
